A Message from Border Trust’s Chair, Ashley Boyd

Following a period of rapid growth and the continued successful delivery of our giving and granting programs Border Trust has recently announced key personnel changes.

“Within the coming months, current and long-standing Executive Officer Glenys Atkins will step into the grant coordinator role, which has been held by Michael Salter for the past year.

We were fortunate to have Michael accept the role of grant coordinator in September 2021, as we took on the responsibility of the newly established Towong Community Bushfire Disaster Relief Fund. With that and our other granting programs now well established, Michael wishes to step into a more voluntary role with the Trust and get back to his eagerly anticipated retirement plans.

As an organisation we are really pleased to facilitate Glenys’s requested move into the Grant Coordinator role.  We are delighted to retain her depth of knowledge and experience with Border Trust, the broader Community Foundation network and the local charitable sector.  We know that she is genuinely looking forward to the role and to supporting the new Executive Officer as they settle in.

Until then, it is very much business as usual as we head towards the Give500 Pitch and Vote night and AGM.”
