News

The recent annual Adroit Insurance & Risk Border Trust Charity Golf Day was a big hit, raising an impressive $12,500 to bring the events 10-year tally to over $100,000.

75 players took part in the day, which was held at the Commercial Club Albury Golf Course.

It was a close battle for this year’s Adroit Charity Cup! Congratulations to Border Crane Consultants for taking out the top prize this year. Coming in the close 2nd was The GT / Allianz Team and in 3rd place Adroit Services Team!

All funds raised stay 100% local and contribute to Border Trust’s capacity to deliver Community Grant and Back to School Programs.

Border Trust’s Executive Officer, Glenys Atkins, said that the day always attracted a field of great sports, on and off the course, with the funds raised providing a welcome boost.  “Adroit Insurance & Risk are part of everything we do.  We’d be less the organisation without them”, she said.  “The Charity Golf Day is unique in that it helps us administratively, but that’s not where their support ends.  They are true corporate l community leaders who genuinely want to have a positive impact where they live, and we love that we get to work with them to help them achieve that”.

Ian Kay, Managing Principal at Adroit Insurance & Risk Albury Wodonga, said that the business was aligned to the values of Border Trust and enjoyed the hands-on and personal connection that it fostered.  “It does feel good to know that our business is making active and connected decisions and is working with a grass-roots organisation that is solely focused on the wellbeing of our local region.”.

Border Trust warmly thanks Adroit Insurance & Risk for hosting this annual event (and particularly Luke Pecotich for taking on the event manager role!) and acknowledges the generous support of all sponsors, players and volunteers who made the day as special as it was.  Can’t wait for 2023!
