Border Trust responded quickly to the devastating 2019/2020 bushfires which affected our region.
As a place-based philanthropic organisation, we knew that we had an important role to fulfil for the many individuals, families and businesses who wanted to ensure their donation stayed local to help local people.
Donors came from within our local region, across Australia and from the international philanthropic community.
Through this fundraising effort, $212,864 was raised to benefit the people of Towong, Alpine, Greater Hume and Snowy Valley Local Government areas.
The fund has now been fully distributed to support 26 community recovery projects, led by local people with vision and a fierce determination to get their community back on its feet. To see the full list, please click on the links below.
To all our donors, we extend a heartfelt thank you. The funds raised were exceeded only by a wonderful sense of collective goodwill displayed by all.
