Director

Caitlin Lawrence

Caitlin is a local who has lived, worked, and played in most towns in the border region her whole life. She is an active and passionate member of our community who advocates for youth education and community-led initiatives. Her commitment to these causes is fuelled by her deep sense of pride in the vibrant and diverse communities we call home. Additionally, Caitlin is deeply connected to the incredible natural landscapes that grace our region, and she believes in the importance of preserving and cherishing them for future generations.

One of her central principles is the idea that education and empowering initiatives should be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background or circumstances. She’s on a mission to break down barriers and create opportunities for individuals of all ages to grow and thrive. As the Executive Officer of Petaurus Education Group and Co-Founder of Sisters who SHINE, Caitlin’s expertise lies in community engagement, scientific analysis, and aligning educational resources with the unique needs of our community.

Caitlin’s decision to join the Border Trust Board is rooted in a belief in the power of community-driven change. She recognizes that our region’s remarkable landscapes and natural assets provide us with a shared responsibility for their conservation and sustainable use, especially among the youth who will inherit these treasures.

By being a part of the Border Trust Board, she can actively contribute to supporting our community in their ideas, needs, and opportunities. As she puts it, “I joined the Border Trust because I believe in the power of community-driven change. Our region is home to incredible people and groups who know what our communities need, and I’m committed to listening to them and our youth to ensure everyone has access to the tools and resources they need to thrive and make a positive impact. The Border Trust Board allows me to actively contribute to these goals and support our community.”

Director

Tim Frazer

Tim has been involved with Border Trust since its inception in 2005. He is currently a Director and Deputy Chair. Tim and his family moved to Albury in 2004 with KPMG (now Findex Albury) after several international secondments, the last being as a partner with KPMG Moscow.

Tim believes that the Border Trust is an excellent way to help strengthen our local regional community. A diverse, robust, interactive and engaged local community creates fantastic opportunities for the next generations to thrive.

“A quality community foundation helps make local grassroots initiatives happen. Border Trust uses its practical experience to allow local organisations to work through regulations and compliance red tape that often limit active community engagement. It is a really cost effective option – for individuals and corporates.”

In Tim’s view, the Border Trust helps make this an excellent community to grow up in and proudly call home.
