TOWONG COMMUNITY BUSHFIRE DISASTER RELIEF FUND
ANNOUNCING THE ROUND 6 – GRANT RECIPIENTS
As Trustee for the Towong Community Bushfire Disaster Relief Fund, Border Trust is pleased to announce 10 successful Round 6 recipients for projects totalling $393,806.
Congratulations to the following successful recipient organisations:
• Alpine Valleys Community Leadership
$9,900 to provide a scholarship to the annual program for the benefit of Towong Shire
Bethanga & District Golf Club
Project: Cutting Down the Barriers – A community mower initiative – $50,000.00
• Corryong Foodshare
$50,000 to support increased operational costs, the purchase of external awnings, food and fuel vouchers together with a generator to ensure table power supply
• Corryong Football Netball Club
$39,000 for the purchase of a walk-in fridge l freezer
• Corryong Historical Machinery Club
$30,000 to erect a fence around the property
• Drop In & Take Off
$50,000 for a Wellbeing through Skateboarding primary school program
• Upper Murray Innovation Foundation
$47,806 to fit-out the Towong Soldiers Memorial Hall – See video story here

$49,000 to establish a BBQ area and community hub – See video story here
• Youth Albury Wodonga
$50,000 for the Rekindle Family Forge Retreat program
Two other organisations that have received in-principle support for projects totalling $68,100 will be announced in due course.
