Border Trust’s COVID-19 Community Relief Fund has been established to raise funds for local not-for-profit organisations who are working directly with those experiencing disadvantage in our community.
It’s fair to say that 2021 has not been as we hoped for or expected. People are fatigued, frustrated and stressed with many doing it particularly tough.
We know there is a feeling of despair amongst people who are coping with the added burdens of reduced or cancelled work hours, home schooling and isolation from friends and family. Sadly, there are people to whom this hardship is all too familiar to the challenges they experience every day, with disadvantage being exacerbated within certain areas of our own community.
The demand on local charities and not-for-profits has also spiked, coinciding with an inability to fundraise to meet the growing demand and costs.
Funds raised through the COVID-19 Community Relief Fund will be pooled together to provide accessible grants to local not-for-profit organisations who are working directly with those experiencing disadvantage and hardship.
